(Elmsford, NY)August 6, 2018 – DLC Management Corporation, a national owner and operator of open-air shopping centers, is pleased to announce it has completed the sale of a single tenant ground lease with merchandise retailer, Runnings at Tops Plaza located at 5789 South Transit Road in Lockport, NY.
Runnings will be the sole occupant of the 129,768 sq. ft. former Walmart building. Tops Plaza – Lockport offers the growing retailer one of the most desirable locations in the trade area. Supported by an already strong retail mix, including T.J. Maxx, Maurices and Rue 21.
For over 65 years, Runnings has proudly served customers with a wide selection of trusted brands and merchandise with hometown-friendly customer service. The company has evolved to become a retail destination for high-quality merchandise including clothing, footwear, automotive, sporting goods, farm supplies, lawn and garden, toys, housewares, tools, pet and animal supplies and more. The Lockport location will be Runnings’ 10th in the northeastern part of the country. The company plans to renovate and open by April of next year. The new store will bring approximately 75 new jobs to the Lockport area.
As part of the deal, DLC will retain two outparcels near Transit Road totaling 1.53 acres, which it plans ground lease or sell.
